21st January 2009. Colombia:

I visited Colombia again for business duties. Some new sites were covered for birds. We birded in Magdalena Valley and mountains near Bogota. The emphasis was on finding new species, which succeeded with observations of 58 new lifer birds for me.

2008 Trip

27th October 2008. Colombia:

I took a few days off from business duties while staying in Bogota this month. Colombia has a bad reputation of violence from the past. While visiting there twice I can conclude that most Colombians are very friendly people indeed. Avoiding known problem spots is quite predictable and I wouldn't worry to travel there again in future.
